New Seasons NSB

Spider veins are practically impossible to prevent, and when they show up on the face or body, they can detract from your best features. Vein removal treatments can improve facial, hand or leg veins so you can enjoy a clearer, younger appearance for years to come.

Spider veins are often linked to genetics. A sedentary lifestyle and certain habits can increase your risk for developing visible spider veins, but for many of us, they are inevitable. Fortunately, laser therapy can help reduce visible veins on the face or legs by heating the vein, causing it to close, and eventually leading to its collapse. The vein will then harmlessly dissolve into the body.

Prior to your Vein Removal Session, your Practitioner will recommend a pre-treatment which allows us to clean, prepare and numb the skin for your procedure. Laser therapy for vein removal can last anywhere from 15 minutes to over 30 minutes per session. During your procedure, a laser will target individual veins and send pulses of energy that will heat and eventually collapse the vein. You may feel a heating sensation.

Prior to getting laser therapy for vein removal, you’ll have a private consultation with one of our Practitioners. During your consultation, you can talk about your aesthetic goals and concerns, as well as learn more about what to expect from the procedure. Vein removal can be performed almost anywhere, but it’s most common on the legs and face.

You can resume your normal activities immediately after your laser therapy session, avoid strenuous exercise for 5 to 7 days after your treatment. If you feel soreness in the treated area, you can apply cold compresses until the discomfort fades. Compression stockings can help speed up your recovery and results by increasing blood circulation, in the case of laser therapy of the legs. You should also stay out of the sun and avoid hot showers, hot tubs and saunas for at least 1 week after treatment.

Over the following weeks, the treated veins may become temporarily darker as a result of their collapse. This is a normal part of vein therapy. They also may stiffen up and cause momentary soreness. Eventually, the vein should fade from view, leaving your skin clear. Most people require two to five sessions to achieve their desired results, spaced about 4 to 6 weeks apart.
