LASER HAIR REMOVAL

Waxing, shaving and plucking can be a hassle, not to mention time-consuming, painful and expensive. Laser hair removal can resolve these issues by zapping away hairs at their source — the follicles — to leave your skin silky smooth with minimal upkeep.

HOW DOES LASER HAIR REMOVAL WORK?

Laser hair removal works by heating individual hair follicles with laser energy, causing existing hair to fall out and leaving the follicle unable to regrow. Each treatment session targets hairs in their current growth cycle, so multiple sessions are necessary to disable as many follicles possible. View Price Menu

YOUR LASER HAIR REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Prior to your Laser Hair Removal , your Practitioner will recommend a pre-treatment which allows us to clean, prepare and numb the skin for your procedure. Laser hair removal sessions can be as quick as 15 minutes, but they may last 30 minutes or longer depending on the size of the treatment area. During your procedure, your Practitioner will pass a handpiece emitting laser energy over the target area. You’ll feel small zapping sensations, a bit like being snapped with a rubber band.

BEFORE YOUR LASER HAIR REMOVAL TREATMENT

Before getting laser hair removal, you’ll have a consultation with one of our Practitioners. During this time, you can talk about your ideal results for laser hair removal and learn more about what to expect from the procedure.

Laser hair removal can be performed almost anywhere on the face or body, but some of the most common treatment areas include the underarms, bikini line, legs, chest and back.

YOUR RECOVERY & RESULTS

You can return to your normal routine as soon as you leave our office. However, be sure to keep the treated area out of the sun for 2 to 4 weeks after each session. You should avoid shaving for at least 3 days, but after that you can return to your normal shaving habits. Refrain from plucking or waxing between sessions. The treated area may appear slightly red or develop temporary blistering after your appointment. If this occurs, simply keep the area moisturized and wait for it to heal naturally.

After about 1 to 2 weeks, you should notice the treated hair beginning to fall out. Don’t be alarmed if it appears to grow longer before that. You’ll need multiple sessions to achieve a significant decrease in hair growth, and most people plan on anywhere from 6 to 8 treatment sessions.
